On target for septoria and rust control - Product overview

CHEROKEE the all-in-one T0
and T1 wheat fungicide – for
more profit per £ spent

A specially-formulated mixture, CHEROKEE
has been purpose-designed to provide
growers with an all-in-one fungicide solution
to increasing problems of rusts and Septoria
tritici
resistance in wheat.

It achieves this by targeting disease with high doses of two triazole fungicides, plus the anti-resistance component of BRAVO, all combined in a single pack.

Extensive testing in over 120 trials – and more than 100 farmer-applied comparisons – has shown the CHEROKEE mix to repeatedly match more expensive alternatives for yield – for more profit per pound spent.

CHEROKEE fits into programmes wherever diseases such as Septoria or yellow or brown rusts are a threat (e.g. T0, T1, T2). It is particularly suited to early season applications because its movement abilities through the plant give excellent protection of new growth.

Reasons to use CHEROKEE
Proven performance - among farmers and advisors, and in independent and company trials over 3 seasons
Reassurance against rust from two rust active triazoles
Consistently effective against Septoria tritici - thanks to robust triazole dose and the anti-resistance properties of BRAVO Weatherstik ‘built in’
Movement through the plant to protect new growth - the systemic cyproconazole helps protect leaves which emerge after spray application, ideal for early season use
Excellent value - making it easier to invest in complete protection at all four wheat timings - T0, T1, T2 and T3
Single 10 litre pack - for fewer packs to empty, rinse and dispose of
Ready-formulated product - for less mixing during sprayer filling and more hectares treated per day
PGR benefits - reduced lodging and more yield seen in trial plots

Fungicide dosing experiment for Septoria tritici
control – ADAS, 2007

Comparisons against the toughest foliar challenge, Septoria
tritici, carried out at ADAS Rosemaund, showed that
CHEROKEE controls disease as well as the market standard.

Brown rust control – 2007
In a series of four trials involving high levels of brown rust, comparing three product mixes against CHEROKEE (at equivalent cost/ha), 2 litres/ha was consistently the best treatment in the trials, without being the most expensive.
